This rustic cafe is not new to the Seoul scene. Cafe Onion has several locations throughout the city, but this one in Seongsu is the original, opening in 2016.
Check out our visit to the other location, Cafe Onion Anguk, by clicking here.

The cafe has a large seating area on the rooftop for an al-fresco dining experience, which is ideal for those who enjoy a good brew while taking in some fresh air.
A classic flat white or cafe latte (KRW5,000, USD4) is always a safe bet. However, cold-brewed green tea (KRW7,000, USD5.60) is an excellent choice on a hot summer day.
It would be a sin to leave Cafe Onion without sampling their hearty bakes. While the olive bacon bread (KRW4,500, USD3.60) is a savoury must-order, customers have raved about sweeter options like strawberry custard bread and pandoro (KRW5,000, USD4 each). A pandoro is a type of Italian pastry that is conical and made of egg, flour, and powdered sugar.
